Sphynxx Parking

The Sphynxx parking enforcement module primarily targets local authorities. The package includes hand-held PCs (Microsoft Windows CE-based) for issuing tickets. Sphynxx hand-held PC’s use GPRS, RFID, BAR-Code and Bluetooth technology to minimise wires and cost whilst maximising throughput. For faultless ticket issuing Sphynxx uses Automatic Vehicle Number plate Recognition (AVNR) technologies.

The handheld PC’s communicate directly with a central server, running Sphynxx back office and administration software, via GPRS on a real-time basis. The handhelds can also support GPS (Global Positioning System) receivers for adequate location information. The server software manages payment and non-payments through to the debt recovery process. Due to its on-line nature the system also has the potential to detect and counter fictional or fraudulently issued tickets and (electronic-) permits.
