Deploying enforcement officers
- Law enforcement officers assigned with the duty to visually check on
location will most likely follow the same route as the scan unit. It is also
possible that parts of one scan route will be covered by several law
enforcement officers. It should therefore be possible to divide the results
of one scan route in logical units that can be assigned to several different
law enforcement officers.
- The system allows a user to do this on the basis of an interactive map.
The areas in which each law enforcement officer operates can be entered into
the system. By clicking this area all the data from the scans in that area
can be selected after which they can be assigned to an officer.
-
After assigning the scans to an enforcement officer, this
data can be displayed in the browser as a list in the same order as the
scans have been received. This data can be displayed on a Sphynxx hand held
computer. The list will contain each scan that does not have permission to
park in the vicinity, including a license plate number, a make and a color.
By clicking an item on the list a map can be produces with all the locations
of vehicles that need to be checked can be displayed.
-
After a visual check, depending on the outcome a ticket can
be written out in the regular manner.
-
It is also possible to compile a list in the browser after
the visual check and display the result of the visual check in the same
window (i.e. Does have permission to park on location, parking ticket
displayed, not present, fined etc.) and to compile statistics from this
data.
