Clamping & Removal (DCS)

We have developed a fully proven software module for dealing with the management of a Clamping and Removal operation, which fully integrates with other modules. PCO’s using handheld terminals on the street can send messages via GPRS to a central Despatch Scheduler. Using GPRS, the system can inform clamp and removal trucks, which offending vehicles are to be clamped, de-clamped or removed to a car pound. Incorporated within Sphynxx are facilities to control the booking of vehicles both in and out of car pounds.

The system provides information in real time to give the authorised users up to date information on the status of any vehicle that has been clamped or removed. Such information is invaluable when dealing with queries from general public and authorities seeking to establish the whereabouts of a given vehicle. The Sphynxx In Vehicle System (IVS) provides real-time data transfer of clamping and removal activities. The software runs on a handheld terminal situated in the clamping or removal vehicle. The system receives and sends messages to a central server database to ensure the case clamping or removal record is kept up to date. DCS is currently used by the city of Amsterdam.
